Dr. Zablotsky earned a Bachelor of Science in Individual and Family Studies from the Pennsylvania State University in 1980 and a Master of Arts in Social Science from the State University of New York in 1984. After working in long term care for several years, she earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Maryland in 1990. Before joining the faculty at UNC Charlotte in 1992, Dr. Zablotsky worked as a social science analyst at the National Institute on Aging (National Institutes of Health) and Post Doctoral Research Associate at the Andrus Gerontology Center (University of Southern California). Her research has focused on aging, health care, and the impact of HIV/AIDS on midlife and older Americans. Before joining the Levine Scholars Program she was Associate Dean of Student Support in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Interim Chair of the Department of Sociology. She is currently a board member of BRIDGES Academic Leadership for Women in North Carolina.

Yolanda Coleman

Before joining the Levine Scholars Program, Yolanda Coleman served as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While there, she established and led the Counselors & Colleagues Team, represented the University at regional and national recruitment events, and served as an advocate for first-generation college students. Prior to her work at UNC-Chapel Hill, she earned her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. During her time there, she directed the Politics and Cultural Pluralism Residential Program and worked in the Office of the Vice Provost for University Life. Earlier in her career, Yolanda managed the publications, design and marketing at Providence Day School while also advising the student newspaper. She spent her undergraduate years at the University of Missouri, earning degrees in Journalism and Black Studies. Yolanda serves on the Program Reading Committee for the Coca-Cola Scholars Program and as a College Coach for College Summit.


Billy Roosenberg

Billy Roosenberg earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hilll and a Master of Architecture from Georgia Tech. Before joining the Levine Scholars Program, he served as the Academic Advisor for UNC Charlotte's School of Architecture. His passion is working with students to help them realize and achieve their goals of making a difference throughout the world.


Teresa Wallace

Teresa Wallace joined the Levine Scholars Program in 2010 and provides broad based support in office management, budgeting, student services and recruitment. She began her career at UNC Charlotte in 1999 with Extended Academic Programs. Before coming to the University, Teresa was a training coordinator for Corning Optical Fibers in Wilmington, NC. She hold a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management from UNC Wilmington.
