Addison Goff ’17 is a marketing major with a minor in public health. She chose the Levine Scholars Program because it provides a smaller, supportive community within a larger university setting. She knew that the Levine would allow her to participate in experiences that otherwise would not be possible through financial assistance, programmatic support and mentorship to help her grow academically and professionally. “The Levine Scholars Program is unique in that Levine Scholars are not only intelligent students, but we are also committed citizens who have a passion to grow individually and give back to the community. The investment in me as an individual means that I have a responsibility to make the University, as well as the Charlotte community, a little bit better than it was when I first arrived.”
Between internships and volunteering, Addison says she has created a network of optimistic people who love their city and are excited about helping it move forward. She spent a semester studying business at the University of Kent in Canterbury England and worked as a marketing and assessment intern at Venture through the University Professional Internship Program. Addison spent a summer interning at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in New York, NY. Addison served as the Dance Marathon Catering Committee Chair, is on the leadership team for the Community Garden and is a member of the Business Honors Program.
