Native Minnesotan Gabriella Kroska '18 is no stranger to snow, so the relative lack of it in North Carolina was a huge selling point when she was deciding which college to attend. "The second I set foot on UNC Charlotte's campus, I loved how beautiful and green it was." As an outdoor enthusiast, Gabriella also loves being only two hours from the mountains and three hours from the beach. "While the climate was certainly hard to pass up, I ultimately chose UNC Charlotte and the Levine Scholars Program because I knew I would be afforded life-changing opportunities that would take me on adventures around the world and allow me to grow in ways that nothing else could.”
So far, the exercise science major is taking advantage of every opportunity available. She has studied abroad in Nepal and Chile, served as a teaching assistant for an exercise science lab, and acted as a morale leader for Charlotte Dance Marathon. She is also a tutor and a Peer Career Advisor at UNC Charlotte's Career Center. An avid sports fan, Gabriella plays flag football as well as outdoor and indoor soccer.
