Michelle used her civic engagement grant to host an anti-trafficking conference in partnership with the Not In My City Project. The conference received outstanding feedback from participants and speakers alike. Not In My City Project volunteers plan to host the conference at UNCC annually. “It fascinates me to see how seemingly unrelated – albeit important – experiences are woven together in one’s life, fostering growth. The Levine Program has enabled me to take advantage of countless opportunities – many of which I’ve assumed would be one-time events – yet time and time again, I’ve seen how every single one has shaped me, how it has pushed me to becoming a more well-rounded individual and leader.”
