Vidhya Balasubramanian ’19 came to UNC Charlotte from Raleigh, NC. She decided on the Levine Scholars Program for the “incredible summer opportunities, cultural immersion events and constant support from the Levine staff.”
The public health major has volunteered and interned all over the Charlotte community through Ronald McDonald House, Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, Our Lady of Guadalupe Free Clinic and Hospice. For the past three semesters, Vidhya has served as the Vice President for the Special Olympics club on campus. Additionally, Vidhya competes nationally as a dancer with the Isharee Bollywood Dance Team.
