Originally from Egypt, Yousef Abdel-Rahman ’19 attended to high school in Wake Forest, NC. Yousef wanted a college experience that provided him with lifelong friends, experiences abroad and the opportunity to make a difference. He says he found that in the Levine Scholars Program. The Civil Engineering major loves the diversity of Charlotte and University community and the friends he has made through the program.
Yousef studied abroad in Shanghai, China; planned the annual Undergraduate Research Conference; and interned with the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the United States Green Building Council. Yousef is an active member in the Muslim Students Association and UNC Charlotte Votes, where he helps register students and staff to vote.
